Dr. André Malz is a seasoned system architect expert with over 20 years of experience in developing complex electronic and optoelectronic system architectures. He started his career in the medical device industry, where he contributed to Carl Zeiss Meditec’s OCT (optical coherence tomography) development and their flagship “Cirrus 6000”. He then worked for the global automotive Tier-1 companies Harman and Aptiv. From 2015 to 2018, as lead systems engineer at Harman, he was responsible for automotive infotainment systems and ADAS systems and coordinated a development team with systems, software, hardware, mechanics, testing/validation, and functional safety. In 2019 he joined APTIV as “Driving Functions” function owner for their automated driving stack. Prior to joining LeddarTech as strategic product manager he worked for the LiDAR company RoboSense, building their automotive customer base for the EMEA region. André has a strong passion to make safe automated driving part of our daily lives.
