Robin Heinzler

Development Engineer Autonomous Driving, Porsche AG

Dr.-Ing. Robin Heinzler has been a Development Engineer for Autonomous Driving at Porsche AG since 2023, bringing over nine years of experience in the automotive industry. His career began with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Eng.) at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Karlsruhe, which he completed from 2011 to 2014. He then pursued a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (M.Sc.) at the Technical University of Munich, graduating in 2017.
From 2017 to 2020, Dr. Heinzler conducted a sponsored doctorate at Mercedes-Benz AG, focusing on Lidar perception in adverse weather conditions. Following his doctorate, he worked as a Quality Engineer for ADAS and autonomous driving at Mercedes-Benz from 2020 to 2021. Between 2021 and 2023, he served as a Software Product Owner for Sensor Fusion within the Drive Pilot program at Mercedes-Benz. Since 2023, he has been contributing his expertise to the development of autonomous driving technologies at Porsche AG.
