Less Details

As AVs become more prevalent, they collect and process vast amounts of personal data, raising significant privacy concerns for consumers. To ensure user trust and regulatory compliance, privacy must be integrated into the AV design process from the outset. This presentation explores practical approaches to privacy engineering, demonstrating how Privacy by Design principles can be embedded in both system architecture and user interface development. We will showcase a design study of a privacy-preserving, user-friendly infotainment system that empowers users to control their data while maintaining a seamless driving experience. By blending technical solutions with user-centric design, this session provides actionable insights into balancing innovation with privacy protection in the AV ecosystem.

In this session, you will deep dive into:

  • How to integrate privacy by design into AV system architecture and user interfaces
  • Practical steps for implementing privacy engineering in autonomous vehicle development
  • A design study showcasing a user-friendly, privacy-preserving infotainment system
