C | Data-Driven Autonomy Stream | Case Study

Monday, March 17

02:30 PM - 03:00 PM

Live in Berlin

Less Details

As autonomous driving technology advances, precise and reliable vehicle localization remains a critical challenge, particularly in adverse weather conditions or when lane markings are obscured. This presentation will explore how Bosch’s vehicle localization system ensures robust and safe vehicle positioning under various real-world conditions, such as snow-covered roads or intense sun glare, making autonomous driving safer and more reliable. The VLS combines the strengths of technologies as GNSS including the use of a correction service to obtain the highest absolute position accuracy in combination with sensor fusion with IMU and wheel speed sensors. Therefor, the VLS uses input data from existing vehicle HW components to minimize integration efforts on OEM vehicle architecture and ensures minimal TCO. Unique enhanced concepts combine high precision, safety and integrity of GNSS localization based on approved series-released Bosch technology.

In this session, you will deep dive into:

  • How Bosch’s solution supports localization technologies for a range of driving automation levels, from ADAS to full autonomy
  • How GNSS-based localization enables lane-level accuracy even when road markings are obscured
  • Bosch’s VLS ensuring optimal absolute position accuracy, safety, integrity and availability at minimum OEM’s TCO
