Sara Gutiérrez Lanza

Automotive Business Unit Director, GMV

Sara Gutiérrez Lanza is the Automotive Business Unit Director at GMV, where she has been working since 2000. She holds a Technical Industrial Engineering degree from the University of León (ULE), an Electronics Engineering degree from the University of Valladolid (UVa), and an Executive Management Program (PDG) from IESE Business School.
Throughout her career at GMV, Sara has played a pivotal role in the development of telematics services, intelligent transportation systems, and mobility solutions. Before leading the automotive business unit, she managed business development activities in this field and led projects involving advanced mobility solutions for both public and private clients.
Since 2016, Sara has been heading the automotive business unit, which specializes in providing software for the automotive sector, collaborating with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. GMV's offerings include precise and secure positioning systems for autonomous driving, ADAS, and cooperative mobility services, along with specialized cybersecurity products and services for connected and autonomous vehicles.
Sara also serves as an independent expert and advisor to public bodies such as the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) and the European Commission, evaluating proposals and reviewing R&D projects related to autonomous driving and advanced mobility.
