Speaker

Jianwei Zhang

Vice President, Lightwheel

Jianwei Zhang, Vice President of Lightwheel Intelligent Solutions, responsible for the research, development, and delivery of synthetic data and end-to-end autonomous driving simulation toolchains. With years of experience in autonomous driving simulation and synthetic data, previously served as a simulation expert at Alibaba DAMO Academy’s Autonomous Driving Lab and NIO. He led teams to build the largest heterogeneous simulation platform in China, supporting simulation testing of over one million kilometers per day.

The Pop in Your Job – What drives you? Why do you love your job?
By integrating generative AI with simulation technology, we are building an end-to-end autonomous driving simulation toolchain that generates 3D physically realistic synthetic data, enhancing the utilization of real-world data, reducing data acquisition costs, and accelerating the R&D iteration of autonomous driving and embodied intelligence. I firmly believe in the immense value of data for AI—making AI smarter through synthetic data and verifying AI’s intelligence through simulation is of great significance.

Company

Lightwheel

Lightwheel offers synthetic data solutions to accelerate AI deployment for enterprises. By utilizing generative AI and simulation technologies, the company delivers physically accurate, and generalizable synthetic data. This approach addresses key challenges in the industry, including low utilization of real-world data, high labeling costs, lengthy development cycles, and insufficient coverage of corner-case scenarios. Founded in 2023, Lightwheel has rapidly expanded to a team of over 100 employees. The company has established offices and operational teams in Beijing, Stuttgart and Silicon Valley. Lightwheel is committed to providing data-driven, end-to-end solutions, with a focus on synthetic data for autonomous driving and embodied intelligence.
